Work Strand 1 — Interconnecting Existing Local Digital Twins

Open Call 1 focused exclusively on Work Strand 1, supporting pilots that demonstrate how existing Local Digital Twins can be federated into a European-scale interoperable network.

The Local Digital Twins for Smart and Sustainable Communities (LDT4SSC) project, funded by the Digital Europe Programme (DEP), invited applications for its first Open Call. It supported pilots demonstrating how existing Local Digital Twins can interconnect to form a European-scale network — enabling cross-border data exchange and multi-city optimisation.
