Held on 12 February 2026, the interactive webinar introduced the open call for Work Strands 2 and 3 and the relaunch of Work Strand 1 under the Local Digital Twins for Smart and Sustainable Communities (LDT4SSC) initiative. The session presented the vision and objectives of the three Work Strands, eligibility criteria, thematic priorities, technical and interoperability requirements, funding mechanisms and the full application process. Special focus was placed on Work Strand 2, supporting the co-design and deployment of Local Digital Twins addressing shared cross-community challenges and Work Strand 3, dedicated to advanced AI-based tools and innovative open-source components enhancing immersive and predictive LDT services. Participants also received practical guidance on the tools and support available throughout the pilot programme and engaged directly with the project team during the Q&A session.
