Webinar: 2nd Call of the LDT4SSC Project – 12 February 2026

Join us for an interactive webinar introducing the open call for Work Strands 2 and 3 and the relaunch of Work Strand 1 of the Local Digital Twins for Smart and Sustainable Communities (LDT4SSC) initiative. This session is designed for any stakeholder interested in contributing to strengthen the digital capabilities of urban areas and becoming part of a federated European ecosystem of LDT-enabled communities.

12 February 2026 at 10:00-12:00 CET

WS2 is dedicated to the creation of new Local Digital Twins designed around shared challenges that affect multiple cities and communities. It will support the co-design and deployment of data-driven services addressing concrete, cross-community needs. Work Strand 3 (WS3) develops advanced AI-based tools and innovative open-source components to enhance LDT capabilities with immersive and predictive services.

The webinar acts as an opportunity for potential stakeholders to inform themselves about the project itself and receive support. Here we provide both technical information and practical insight into the tools that stakeholders are going to be encouraged to use in this pilot programme.

In this webinar, we will walk through:

  • The vision and objectives of Works Strands 1, 2 and 3
  • Eligibility criteria and thematic focus areas
  • Technical requirements and interoperability standards
  • Funding structure and financial support mechanisms
  • Application process and timeline
  • Applicant Support
  • Success Stories in Interconnecting Digital Twins

Participants will also have the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the project team. Whether you’re an advanced adopter or just beginning your LDT journey, this session will help you understand how to get involved and make the most of the open call.
