Empowering smart communities through practical innovation
LDT4SSC is launching three open call rounds to fund and support a total of 15–20 pilot projects led by multi-stakeholder consortia. These pilots will implement real-world use cases in critical domains such as resource management, climate resilience, energy efficiency and more.
Each pilot will:
- Develop AI-driven services tailored to community challenges
- Use interoperable building blocks defined by the LDT4SSC Consolidated Common Interoperability Blueprint
- Demonstrate cross-sector and cross-border collaboration to scale digital twin solutions across Europe
Building a unified digital ecosystem
By fostering replication and scalability of solutions, these pilots will stimulate a dynamic market for Local Digital Twins (LDTs), promote ethical AI and open standards and support fair competition, all aligned with the EU’s Digital Decade objectives.
The project aims to establish a resilient and interoperable digital infrastructure that empowers cities and communities to share resources, optimise decision-making and address shared challenges.
