To bring ideas to life, LDT4SSC is launching three rounds of open calls to fund and support 15–20 pilot projects across Europe. These pilots will be led by partnerships of cities, communities, businesses, researchers and other stakeholders working together on real-world challenges.
The pilots will focus on critical areas such as resource management, climate resilience, energy efficiency and more. Each one will develop AI-driven services tailored to local needs, while using shared building blocks from the LDT4SSC Interoperability Blueprint.
By connecting solutions across sectors and borders, the pilots will help create a unified digital ecosystem. This means local successes can be scaled up, replicated and shared across Europe.
The result: a stronger digital foundation that empowers cities and communities to share resources, make smarter decisions and tackle common challenges — all while promoting ethical AI, open standards and fair competition in line with Europe’s Digital Decade goals.
