Project Description:

LDT4SSC is driving the next wave of smart community innovation by creating an ecosystem of interoperable Local Digital Twins (LDTs) across Europe. Building on initiatives like the EU LDT Toolbox, Data Spaces for Smart Cities and Communities (DS4SSCC) and GAIA-X (a European initiative for secure and trustworthy data infrastructure) and aligned with CitiVERSE (a virtual twin environment for cities and communities for urban planning and citizen engagement), this project will enable European regions to address key challenges such as climate change, air quality, energy efficiency and resource management through shared digital capabilities and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.

3 Key Goals:

1. AI-Driven Services: Developing advanced AI solutions tailored to real-world community needs. 2. Interoperability Blueprint: Connecting LDTs across sectors and borders with a common data and integration framework. 3. Sustainable Digital Innovation: Promoting ethical AI, open standards and fair digital markets aligned with EU Digital Decade goals.
