LDT4SSC Welcomes Eight New Pilots
The next chapter of LDT4SSC has begun. We are excited to welcome eight new pilots, bringing together cities, technology providers, research organisations and other local stakeholders from across Europe. Working in pairs of cities, the pilots will demonstrate how Local Digital Twins can tackle concrete urban and territorial challenges, from climate resilience and clean air to energy management, urban logistics and citizen engagement.
UrbanIntelligence connects the Local Digital Twins of Kranj and Pula to support smarter mobility, environmental monitoring and evidence-based urban planning.
ALEX uses AI-powered Local Digital Twins to support energy-efficient buildings, climate action and more sustainable urban planning.
GeoTwin-ELBG combines Copernicus data, AI and geospatial analytics to forecast air-pollution risks and support better environmental decision-making.
AquaGuard-Twin uses satellite data and AI to help municipalities anticipate flood risks, strengthen preparedness and plan more resilient infrastructure.
CITYRES makes climate-resilience tools more accessible to smaller municipalities through predictive risk monitoring and resilience planning.
CivicTwinLab brings climate, infrastructure and disaster-management data together to support better decision-making, emergency planning and citizen access to urban information.
NeWG+ connects urban logistics, local commerce and data to improve food supply chains, mobility and the sustainability of urban operations.
PERFORM uses federated Local Digital Twins and AI to optimise energy use, integrate renewables and support smarter building management.
From cleaner air and safer communities to smarter logistics, climate adaptation and more flexible energy systems, these pilots show the breadth of what Local Digital Twins can enable when they are developed around real local needs.
We look forward to supporting them as they move from ambition to implementation and impact. Welcome to LDT4SSC!
